Slogans For The Element Iron

The title chosen for this project is not entirely coincidental. Indeed, we have taken the name of a bar-restaurant located in Paris, where the menus are written in French sign language (LSF) and the operators who work there, mostly deaf, using LSF. E 'thus arose the idea to reproduce that model in the real Venice. Coffee-Signs is organized by the Deaf Youth Club Venice, the cooperative Aquaaltra and the course of Italian Sign Language (LIS) University Ca 'Foscari of Venice.
The idea is to promote a day of meeting with the Italian deaf community, who despite being so close to us, is so little known. The occasion of this event will introduce the LIS and the deaf community not only academically, but also in society in the Venice area.

Tutti i mercoledì e tutti i giovedì sera da febbraio a giugno il Laboratorio Giovani di Villa Franchin (viale Garibaldi 155/a, vicino piazza Carpenedo) si trasformerà in Spazi Franchi[n]! Le stanze della villa saranno letteralmente ri-arredate con divani, tappeti, cuscini, luci e musica: finalmente a Mestre un luogo gestito da ragazzi giovani dove incontrarsi, divertirsi e cazzeggiare in un’atmosfera informale e senza dover spendere un euro. Le serate inizieranno alle 21 e ogni mese ci saranno: concerti (tra i vari i Season 4 e Andrea Liuzza ) con possibilità di apertura delle serate per i gruppi più giovani (già ingaggiati i the Cirulins), proiezioni di film e documentari, gli Open Mic ormai appuntamento consolidato e imperdibile con un palco a disposizione di chi vuole esibirsi, reading e presentazioni di libri, serate e tornei di giochi in scatola (da Risiko al Paroliere), seminari monoporzione cioè delle simpatiche lezioni per approfondire i più svariati argomenti.

Farm Lessons 14 In English

The Creative Parade is to create a public cultural event is the culmination and synthesis of a creative part, which was launched in the months before the Carnival through art workshops and performances. The workshops, active from December to February and in Venice on the mainland will be open to the public and free of charge (membership fee of 7 €). Everyone has as its watchword sustainability e prevedono l’utilizzo di tecniche di riuso creativo dei materiali per la realizzazione di maschere, costumi e strutture da parata. La ricchezza di questa realtà è la partecipazione di persone che provengono da situazioni molto diverse fra loro: studenti di IUAV e Accademia, insegnanti ed educatori, genitori, anziani, bambini, migranti, artisti e musicisti. Inoltre, grazie alla collaborazione della nascente associazione Red Carpet for All, la Parata Creativa è diventata anche Inclusiva e riceverà particolare attenzione la partecipazione di cittadini con disabilità.
L’idea che ci anima è la valorizzazione e il recupero della dimensione del Carnevale di Venezia come festa popolare, fatta prima di tutto dalle persone che la abitano, coinvolgendo in modo attivo le risorse creative che circolano sul territorio e dando loro la possibilità di esprimersi in un’occasione tanto significativa e rilevante per la storia di questa città. Il tema di quest’anno “ALIENI ?! Cose dall’altro Mondo” parte dalla radice del termine alieno (appartenente ad altri, altrui; straniero; estraneo) ed è perciò direttamente collegato a qualunque alterità. Cose dall’altro mondo, dunque, inattese, stupefacenti, che vengono da mondi e forme di vita parallele o da mondi a parte: esempi di ribaltamento – carnevalesco, satirico – del nostro mondo quotidiano e reale, forme di vita extra-terrestre, ma anche metafore di tutte le altre realtà che il nostro mondo ospita contemporaneamente a quella individuale e/o normale.
Ma quale è poi la realtà? Gli alieni sono già tra noi?!

Nei prossimi 3 mesi 41 iniziative, 9 laboratori gratuiti e 32 eventi, animeranno il territorio mestrino e veneziano con atività che spazieranno dalla musica al teatro, passando per l'impegno sociale e il dialogo interculturale.
